*IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PUPPY, PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THE "LOOKING FOR A PUPPY" SECTION!!*

Kellynack is a small, exclusive home-based kennel, which involves all of our family. Our puppies are home-raised and see plenty of "real life" before leaving to go to their new, loving homes.

We pride ourselves on producing Top Quality, Healthy puppies with Sound Temperaments and Excellent Construction. We started with Irish lines, but began to see that the best quality dogs were bred from mixed lines. This is the path we then decided to take. We aim to breed the best possible dogs from a variety of lines from home and abroad.

We blood-test our adults for kidney function, hip-score our male Wheatens and eye-test all of our dogs as a matter of course.

All of our puppies are eye-tested and blood-tested before leaving us.

Wheatens are a boisterous, loving breed of dog, BUT they need a firm but fair hand when growing up.

Grooming is a must for this breed but the reward of a beautiful, mature coat is the worthy payment for work put in when the puppy is young. All types of wheaten youngsters need regular grooming, whether they have an Irish Coat or the Heavier variety. DO NOT even consider this breed unless you are prepared to work with the coat. This is NOT a coat to be groomed just once a week, even as a young puppy.

We are always happy to advise potential owners when they are looking for a wheaten and like to stay in touch with dogs we have bred, long after they have flown our nest!!

Hopefully our site will be of some small help in helping to introduce people to this wonderful breed of dog.
